Some of the most highly-regarded guitars in history have many similarities to the affordable and popular LTD EC-256FM. Mahogany body and 3 pc. neck? Check. Roasted jatoba fingerboard and flamed maple top? Check and check. Covered passive pickups, set-neck construction, and 22XJ frets? You get it all, without the massive price tag you’d usually expect from such a well-made single-cutaway electric guitar. The EC-256FM is at home on blues, classic rock, hard rock, progressive rock, fusion, and much more, and it’s available in two terrific vintage-looking finishes: Cherry Sunburst and Lemon Drop.

Hi, I saw a ltd ec-256 similar as this one, but it looks like orange. I found that guitar is a special edition to UK. I want to know if is possible to get that guitar now

Like the Apettite for Destruction Les Paul Slash

I bought my 256FM and its been a dream come true. I was at the time debating between an Epiphone Les Paul and the 256FM and boy did i made the right choice! The thing looks awesome and plays excellent. I definitely will be buying another ESP guitar in the future.

Wanted to buy this one from ProAudioStar too (like M-200) but given poor experience with M-200 (see comment in M-200 pink thread) didn't go for it.

Which LTD eclipse version is as thick as JH Iron Cross? Thanks.

Todd B. ESP

Hi Maxim, Sorry about your experience with this dealer. I replied to your other comment. Please contact the dealer to help you solve your issue with damages. For our EC series, all our EC-256, EC-400, EC-401, EC-1000 have the same body shape/thickness as the JH Iron Cross. Our standard body thickness for these is 50mm. But we have a couple models with "traditional or full thickness" of 60mm. Those models are the EC-1000T (Traditional Thickness).

Maxim K.

Is this jatoba fretboard (like specs say) or rosewood (like vido says)? Thanks.

Todd B. ESP

Hi Maxim, We used to use rosewood for most of our instruments until last year when there was a significant change in trade laws for rosewood. Since then we've changed our fingerboard materials from rosewood. This model is currently being built and sold with a Jatoba fingerboard. The video was probably made before we made this change.

Tim S.

I wish you offered a maple fretboard. Love these guitars.

Todd B. ESP

Hi TIm, Thanks for that suggestion. We've never offered maple fingerboards on an EC-256 but we have on an EC-1000 in the past.
