Atkin 19 Standard, featuring a solid torrefied Sitka Spruce top, solid Mahogany back and sides, a 1 11/16" nut width and a 24 7/8" scale length. Complete with case.
This small body slope shoulder guitar was a new addition to the Atkin range in 2019, and it carries the year as it’s name. ‘The Nineteen’ is the result of a collaboration between Alister Atkin and Rudi Bults of the Fellowship of Acoustics in The Netherlands. The body width is 15″ across the bottom bout and the depth is 4 7/8″. With a 24.9″ scale length the Nineteen feels more like a OOO than a J. This guitar has a rich, warm tone perfect for accompanying a singer. A classic Sitka and Mahogany combo.
All Atkin acoustic guitars have an “Aged Finish”. Eight coats of Nitro Lacquer with a yellow tint are applied to give a thin gloss finish, the guitar is then frozen to achieve the vintage look, which includes lacquer cracks and sinking, plus odd blemishes that you would expect from an old instrument. The tuners, bridge pins and saddle are also cosmetically aged to further enhance the appearance.
