Taylor 814CE Builder's Edition 50th Anniversary LTD
Taylor 814CE Builder's Edition 50th Anniversary LTD, featuring a solid Sinker Redwood top, solid Indian Rosewood back and sides, a 1 3/4" nut width and a 25 1/2" scale length. Complete with ES2 electronics and deluxe hard case.
Two all-star tonewoods—Indian Rosewood and sinker Redwood—pair up to give players a colourful sonic palette to explore with the Grand Auditorium Builder’s Edition 814ce LTD from Taylor’s 2024 50th anniversary collection. Rosewood’s rich lows and sparkling highs are legendary. Sinker Redwood, taken from logs reclaimed from the rivers of Northern California, blends the warmth and touch sensitivity of Cedar with remarkably bold projection and wide dynamic range. Together, the two woods deliver a level of tonal sophistication that’s turbo-charged by Taylor’s V-Class voicing architecture under the hood. The guitar’s sonic virtues are matched by a suite of ergonomic playing features that set the Builder’s Edition experience apart. A beveled armrest, beveled cutaway, chamfered body edges and contoured Curve Wing bridge enhance the comfort of the classic, player-favorite Grand Auditorium model. Visual details include a single-ring rosette featuring green abalone inlays accented with Rosewood/Maple/black purfling; top purfling of alternating black/Maple/Rosewood layers; a Rosewood-bound soundhole; and an Indian Rosewood pickguard. The neck features Element fretboard and peghead inlays in gold-hued mother-of- pearl; Maple purfling around the fretboard and peghead; silver side dots; and Gotoh 510 antique gold tuners. The Rosewood back and sides are shaded with a Kona edgeburst, with a subtle, contrasting Maple purfling line around the back. A gloss finish wraps the body in a luxurious luster that highlights the beautifully sculpted contours. Signature anniversary touches include Ebony bridge pins with gold acrylic dots and a commemorative 50th anniversary label inside the guitar. The model includes onboard ES2 electronics and ships in a Taylor deluxe hardshell case. Production will be limited to 1,974 guitars worldwide.
