Taylor 50th Anniversary AD14CE SB LTD, featuring a sunburst solid Spruce top, solid Walnut back and sides, a 1 3/4" nut width and a 25 1/2" scale length. Complete with ES2 electronics and Aero case.
Crafted in celebration of Taylor’s 50th anniversary, the AD14ce-SB LTD introduces a second cutaway Grand Auditorium to the American Dream Series. This U.S.-made model, featuring a solid Walnut/Spruce wood pairing, hand-sprayed tobacco sunburst top and firestripe pickguard, delivers a playing experience as musically satisfying as its visual allure. An anniversary guitar from the American Dream Series is fitting, as the series takes its name from the guitar-making shop where co-founders Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug first met, and that they eventually purchased to launch Taylor Guitars in 1974. The AD14ce-SB LTD follows the distilled design ethos of the series, combining workhorse versatility with earthy, neo-vintage aesthetic appeal. The top’s firestripe faux-tortoise pickguard creates a captivating visual harmony over the golden glow at the center of the sunburst. Other understated details include comfort-enhancing chamfered body edges, a thin matte-finish body, Italian acrylic dot inlays, gold Taylor tuning machines, silver side dots and, emblematic of all 50th anniversary models, gold acrylic-dotted ebony bridge pins. Sonically, the marriage of Walnut and Spruce creates a versatile acoustic palette, making the AD14ce-SB LTD equally adept at yielding intricate fingerpicked melodies, strummed chords with vibrant sustain, and everything in between. Walnut contributes to a pronounced midrange and a balanced blend of warm lows and clear highs. The Spruce top’s responsiveness, together with the V-Class voicing architecture, allows the strings to ring with precision and ear-pleasing musical harmony. With the popular Grand Auditorium shape, players can count on a fullrange guitar that readily responds to different playing styles. The guitar comes equipped with onboard ES2 electronics and a commemorative 50th Anniversary label, and ships with a super-durable yet lightweight AeroCase. Production will be limited to 1,974 guitars worldwide.
