Atkin L36 Kingfisher, based on the early 1940's Kalamazoo KG-12 Oriole, featuring a solid torrefied Sitka Spruce top, solid Maple back and sides, 1 11/16" nut width and a 24 7/8" scale length. Complete with case. *This particular model has received a little extra aging from the Atkin workshop than the usual aged finish. Hence we've dubbed it, 'Medium aged'!
All Atkin acoustic guitars have an “Aged Finish”. Eight coats of Nitro Lacquer with a yellow tint are applied to give a thin gloss finish, the guitar is then frozen to achieve the vintage look, which includes lacquer cracks and sinking, plus odd blemishes that you would expect from an old instrument. The tuners, bridge pins and saddle are also cosmetically aged to further enhance the appearance.
